Bio

Shizune is the assistant of Tsunade and a talented Medic-nin. She is quite close to Tsunade, one of the few people she would trust with absolute certainty and a fairly talented and capable ninja in her own right. Shizune is the niece of Dan, the lover of Tsunade. Sometime after Dan died, Tsunade left Konoha and Shizune went with her as her attendant. The bond between Tsunade and Shizune is strong and above all, Shizune sees her purpose in life as caring for Tsunade.

When Orochimaru comes to Tsunade years later in an attempt to get her to heal his arms, Shizune attempted to persuade Tsunade against it, even trying to convince Tsunade to help her kill Orochimaru. When all attempts to persuade Tsunade fail, Shizune tried to use force to stop Tsunade from helping Orochimaru, though Tsunade easily defeats her. She later fought Kabuto Yakushi in an effort to protect an incapacitated Tsunade and Naruto Uzumaki. Despite Shizune's efforts, Kabuto proves too much for her as he easily dodges her attacks and incapacitates her, too. Shizune manages to heal her legs and leaves the field of battle with the unconscious Naruto as the three Sannin prepare to conclude their battle. She then returns to Konoha with Tsunade after she accepts the office of Hokage.

After Jiraiya is killed by the Akatsuki leader, Pain, Shizune is left in charge of examining the body he captured. When Shizune discovers that the piercings on the body are chakra receivers, she is given ANBU escorts to ensure she can share the information with as many people as possible. She meets up with Inoichi, but before they can begin to collaborate Shizune is captured by the Human path. It reads her mind to find out that Naruto is at Myobokuzan and then removes her soul, killing her. In the ensuing destruction her body is kept safe and is later revived by Pain's resurrection jutsu.

Name: Chakra Scalpel
Type: Offensive, Medical Ninjutsu, Short range

This medical technique forms one's chakra into a small, sharp blade. This can then be used for highly accurate incisions necessary for surgeries and anatomical dissections. Unlike regular scalpels, the chakra scalpel can actually make cuts inside the body without actually creating an open wound, limiting the risks of an infection.

The chakra scalpel can also be used offensively, although it requires great precision to be effective. Because of this requirement, using the chakra scalpel offensively is highly unusual. In heated combat, even the greatest medical-nin won't be able to exert the precision needed to make fatal cuts, but it can still effectively cuts muscle tissues and tendons, rendering the target immobile

This jutsu uses a part of the patient's body as a medium to heal their wounds. It requires an almost room-wide seal and a lot of time to complete. The medic-nin on hand actually have to trade places after tiring, indicating just how long it takes.

This medical ninjutsu allows the user to speed up the body's natural healing process by sending chakra from their hands into a wound or afflicted body part. This allows the user to heal a patient without the need for medical equipment or surgery, making it highly useful on the battlefield. It can be used to treat both external and internal injuries. It is vital to match the amount of chakra used to the severity of the affliction or injury. This requires a great amount of chakra control. Because of this, only a few highly skilled medical-nin are able to use this technique.

By sending an excess amount of chakra into the patient's body, the user can overload the patient's normal circulation, trapping them in a comatose state.

Name: Shadow Clone Technique
Type: Offensive, Ninjutsu
Similar to the Clone Technique, this jutsu creates clones of the user. Unlike the Clone Technique, these clones are actual copies, not illusions. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. The clones are capable of performing jutsu on their own and can even bleed, but will usually disperse after one or two solid blows. They can also disperse on their own. The clones will be created in roughly the same condition as the original.

Unlike other clone techniques, they can't be detected by the Byakugan because the clones have the exact same amount of chakra and aren't made from any other substance, making them indistinguishable from the actual person. In the anime, Sasuke Uchiha claims that the Sharingan can distinguish clones from the original.

Name: Poison Mist Technique
Type: Offensive, Medical Ninjutsu, Short to mid-range

Chakra is kneaded within the body and then changed into special chemical substances. It is then ejected through the mouth. When this substance comes in contact with the air outside the body, it instantly changes and is transformed into a mist of deadly poison. As this techniques combines ninjutsu, chemistry, and medical knowledge, using it requires fine chakra control and advanced ability in medical ninjutsu.

Name: Prepared Needle Shot
Type: Offensive, Medical Ninjutsu, Short to mid-range

Using a wrist-mounted device, the user can launch five needles at their opponent. The device is usually used to surprise the enemy, as it may be concealed under long sleeves. The needles can also be dipped with a lethal poison to add to their fatality. The user can also spit these needles out of their mouth but not as many and not near as precise.

Outfit: In her jounin outfit, her sleeves are very long for her and she wears the distinctive vest and ninja outfit. When she's not wearing that she has on a simple kimino and black high heels. She wears a device around her right arm to shoot senbon when it is revealed and used, it is cloaked by her sleeve until she pulls it up.

Strengths: Unlike Tsunade, she is level-headed, practical, and a rational thinker. As a result, she is the one who tends to stress over details like Tsunade's tendency to gamble and think with her heart. She often gets comically worked up over any irrational decision Tsunade makes.

Weakness's: She gets easily overworked over little things and when things get out of order. She likes things to work properly and doesn't always like it when things go her way.

Abilities: Shizune's attacks are based solely around poison. Being a medical-nin, she has to keep her distance in battle, making sure not to injure herself so she can be of use to heal her teammates later. However, she appears to be quite fast and equally fierce and precise in her attacks, as stated by Kabuto.

Shizune is noted to be a very talented medical ninja, rivaled only by Sakura and Tsunade herself. It has apparently given her excellent chakra control, which is the primary reason she is assigned to help seal the Three-Tailed Beast.
