Bio:A member of the Hyuuga Clan, branch house, Neji can never be leader of his clan despite his mastery of the Jyuuken and Byakugan (Viz "Evil Eye") being advanced to the point of being able to see the chakra opening points. Neji also has a very powerful defense in the form of the Hakkesho Kaiten (Eight Trigram Palms Heavenly Spin), along with the Hakke Rokujuyon Sho (Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms), (and, in the anime, the Hakke Hyaku Nijuha Sho (Eight Trigrams One Hundred Twenty-Eight Palms)) which effectively seals off a person's chakra points, rendering them completely unable to channel any chakra. However, his Byakugan does not have a complete 360° vision due to a blind spot located behind his first thoracic vertebra. He is a very heavy taijutsu user, naturally being proficient in the Leaf's strongest taijutsu style: Jyuuken (Gentle Fist). Since taijutsu are physical attacks, he is a good close range fighter, and a long-range defender with his Kaiten.

This jutsu is similar in practice to Eight Trigrams Palms Heavenly Spin, but has a specific target rather than a general area. To perform it, Neji does a palm thrust, shooting a concentrated force of chakra out of his hand, to violently push the opponent away.

This jutsu is essentially a doubled version of Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms. Like the former, it closes off the opponent's tenketsu. However, it closes off twice as many (128) at twice the speed. Alternatively, it can be used to hit a great number of targets very quickly.

This jutsu utilizes the chakra control gained through Gentle Fist training to release a huge amount of chakra from the user's chakra points right before being struck. The released chakra blocks any possible attack on the user. The user then spins rapidly to parry the attack, both creating a shield of chakra around themselves and tossing away any nearby attackers. This jutsu is only effective when rotating, since the chakra itself is not enough to stop a physical attack. If they cannot rotate, the user becomes vulnerable.

This jutsu closes off sixty-four specific chakra points on an opponent's body with the Gentle Fist, effectively eliminating their ability to use chakra for quite some time and making it difficult for them to move. It begins with striking two chakra points, followed by four more, then eight, then sixteen, then thirty-two, and then sixty-four strikes. Each set of strikes is done at an exponentially increasing pace and strength. The attack not only disables the enemy but also knocks them back with every set of strikes. In the anime, a minor version of this technique is Eight Trigrams Thirty-Two Palms and the doubled version of this technique is Eight Trigrams One Hundred Twenty-Eight Palms.

The Gentle Fist style of combat is based on palm strikes and generally aims to damage the body's Chakra Pathway System, thus creating difficulty by inhibiting an opponent's use of chakra. To do this, the user will forcefully insert a small amount of their own chakra into an opponent's chakra pathway system. The chakra can the be used to rupture or divert chakra flow, preventing them from using jutsu. It can also be used to attack the opponent's internal organs, to which the chakra pathway system is closely tied. Even the slightest tap from this style can cause major damage, hence the name "gentle fist." Because the chakra pathway system is invisible, the Byakugan is required for this style to be used effectively. Since the Byakugan is unique to the Hyuga clan, it has become their signature style of combat.
