The Beginning

Gamma continued to run. It had been a full day since he fled his village but he had to make sure he got far enough away. He had heard stories of ninja's who abandoned their villages and paid the ultimate price. Gamma couldn't let this happen to himself, not before he finished what he had fled his village to do. It was too late for him to turn back now, the decision he made was final. If he went back to Taiyou now he would still be sentenced to death. Gamma continued to jump from tree to tree until he his path soon became a barren desert.

"Heh, the scenery sure changed quickly." The heat from this new terrain was sweltering, but for some reason it felt like paradise to Gamma. "I guess it's my affinity to the fire element." Gamma continued his path through the desert, seeing small animals scurrying in and out of the sand he was amazed at how much life could prosper at even the most desolate of places. Gamma thought about these types of things from time to time occasionally, but for right now it was just to occupy the time in which he was traveling through this, what seemed to be, endless desert. Soon the sky turned dark and the the temperature dropped quicky. Gamma wrapped his arms around himself as his teeth began to chatter, "So...cold..maybe i should rest now and pick up my travel again in the morning" Gamma decided this was the best course of action and assembled some wood he found in the sand. Gamma then yelled out "Fireball Jutsu!" but Gamma had put the least amount of chakra he could into this jutsu so that only a thin stream of fire left his mouth setting the wood on fire. "There. A nice fire to keep me warm." Gamma then reached into his bag and pulled out a sheet and laid down.

The next day Gamma woke up. He knew he had overslept, perhaps it was how hard he was pushing himself to keep running but more than ever he needed to keep moving now. If he was able to make it this far there would be no doub't that hunter-nins would come this far to find him as well. Gamma packed up his sheet and began to run to make up lost time. "I wonder how mother is doing now..." This thought suddenly came to him for no reason, but when it did it hit him like a brick. He hadn't really thought about how she would feel after he left, his father was dead and she had already lost him, would his leaving make her feel as if she had lost him too. Gamma had never thought of his actions up until now in this light and it made him requestion what he had been doing, "Maybe me rushing into this decision was selfish on my part..." Gamma felt his determination waver, but then he thought of something another reason to go through with his mission. "Then I'll just have to make it back to her alive then, after i complete my goal I'll come back with something accomplished, something to make both her and my father proud of." With this thought Gamma's resolve was now stronger than ever.

Gamma continued to run until he saw a lush green forest about two miles in front of him. "Finally, I've found the end of this desert!" Gamma began to run even faster all the way to the forest.
